He was predeceased by: his daughter Sarah Nash; and his brother Peter. He is survived by: his wife Doris Nash; his son Erich (Amanda); his brother Mark; and his sister-in-law Ruth.

As an expression of sympathy, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Canadian Canoe Museum in honor of Rick's memory and his passion for craftsmanship and tradition.
