He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Wib Burnside. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his daughters, Michelle Smibert (Scott) and Karen MacDonald; his grandchildren, Tavish, Alex and Collin; his sister Helen Burnside of Kincardine; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Lamont, Lynn Lamont and Joan Lamont.
