He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Maracle (Sonny) and Bernice Maracle; and his brothers-in-law, Ivan Clement, Glen Maracle (Smoke) and Dennis Dennee.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Aaron (Cherie), Murray Jr. (Katie), Lacey (Corey) and Mindy (Richard); his grandchildren, Teia, Xandria (Dria), Serena, Rivor (Rivvy), Emikah (Sunny), Grayden, Maliah Georgie (Georgina), Ethan Murray and Jett (Jetty Boy); his siblings, Gail Clement, Donna Maracle and Diana Dennee; and his siblings-in-law, Valerie Carbonneau (Alain), Lynn Wilson (Dave), Carla Barnhardt (Sam), Penny Poor Eagle (Rod) and Carl 'Ted' Maracle (Debbie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
