He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Howard and Joan Howard; his granddaughter Tara; his former wife Anita; and his brother Gary.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Mark (Anne), Joanna (Emerson) and Sean (Sandy); his grandchildren, Kaleb, Jayme, Marlee, Percy, Claire, Aurora, Greyson, Eva and Ella; and his sister June Hughes. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and many friends.
