He was predeceased by: his parent Richard "Butch" Godelie; and his grandparents, Elsie, Hector Godelie, Gerarda and Jerome De Maere.

He is survived by: his parent Vera De Maere; his child Grace; his siblings, Stuart (Catherine) and David; and his nieces and nephews, Olivia and Everett. He is also survived by aunts, great uncles and cousins.
