He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgette Velde and Maurice Van De Velde; and his nephew Michael Valcheff. He is survived by: his spouse Mary Van De (Janssens); his children, Stacey Powell and Shannon Barron (Geoff); his grandchildren, Aidan, Liam, Avery and Alexis; and his sibling Joanne De Groote (John).
