He is survived by: his wife Brenda Fairfield; his children, Jarrod Fairfield and Jessica Ablett of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Peyton, Owen Fairfield, Kalli and Makenna Ablett; and his sister Nancy Lariviere (Guy) of Campbell's Bay, Quebec.. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
