We are sad to announce that on July 10, 2022, Ellen Irene Smithers (Dashwood, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Cecil Cassidy Smithers; her grandson Joe Woodburn; her parents, John Shank and Ethel Shank (Blair); and her siblings, Lloyd Shank, Floyd Shank, Ada Dietrich and Evelyn Pickering.
She is survived by: her children, Betty (Earl Lippert), Barb (Bob Oesch), Jerry "Butch" Glousher (John) of Fergus and Marilyn Smithers of Hespler; and her grandchildren, Sandy Woodburn, Ken Teams, Ron Woodburn, Trudy Smith, Bob, Karen Woodburn, Cathy Woodburn, Steve Miles, Dave Gackstetter, Anjela McCool, Peggy, Wayne Smith, Nancy, Mike Steckly, Rebecca Smithers and Thomas Littlewood.
If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 498, Grand Bend (poppy fund for receipt) or Cerebral Palsy would be appreciated by the family.
