He was predeceased by: his former wife E. Lorraine Gale (Charlton); his parents, Reginald Clifford and Evelyn Evangeline Gale (Butcher); his brother William Gale; his brother-in-law Wayne Caughlin; and his parents-in-law, Cyril and Helen Caughlin (Wolfe).

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Elaine Gale (Caughlin); his stepchildren, Shawn Palmatier (Cheryl Beltz) of London and Shayne Palmatier of Strathroy; his grandchildren, Quentin Stubbs (Paige) of Atlanta, Georgia and Tyler Beltz (Makayla Black) of London; his great grandchildren, August, Brinley and Benny; and his sister-in-law Betty Gale of London. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
