He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Owen and Lucas; his parents, Frank Hawel and Lynn Hawel (Shearer) of Courtland; his parents-in-law, Fred and Kim Smith (Demarest) of Delhi; his sibling Melodie Hawel; his sister-in-law Cheryl Tillsonburg (Ian Barton); his niece Alianna; and his nephew Zachary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to an established trust fund for Hawel children, Owen and Lucas, – cheques to be made out to "Jennifer Hawel," or to the "Brain Tumour Foundation,'' or to the "Canadian Cancer Society (Research),'' would be gratefully appreciated by Jennifer and the family.
