He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke McCabe and Sarah McCabe; his wife Margaret; and his son Kevin. He is survived by: his children, Larry, Debby and Kara (Anthony); his grandchildren, Sean, Margaret (James) and David; his great grandchildren, Bennett, Jane and Amelia; his siblings, Luke (Lois), Garry (Alma), Sheila, Paddy-Joe and Brian; his daughter Tammy (Darren); and his granddaughters, Jade and Alyssa. He is also survived by his many in-laws, his nieces, nephews and his many longtime friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
