He was predeceased by: his wife Jacqueline Poirier; his parent Alderic; and his siblings, Leo Poirier (late Cecile), Philias Poirier (late Cecile), Irene Riley (late Wilburn), Lorette Garlough (late Claude) and Verna Samson (late Ovila "Sam").
He is survived by: his sibling Claire Lavictoire (late Paul). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Wilson Funeral Home (822 Pitt St, Cornwall, ON K6J3S2). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Church (434 Second St W, Cornwall, ON K6J1H1). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (434 Second St W, Cornwall, ON K6J1H1).
Memorial Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the OSPCA, or to the Cornwall Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
