He is survived by: his wife Joy Anne Thompson; his children, Mary Elizabeth Spear (William) of Sherwood Park, AB., James Thompson (Sarah) of Sherwood Park, AB. and Theresa Thompson (Mike) of Sherwood Park, AB.; his grandchildren, Victoria Blohm (Stephen), Echo Spear, Bobbie Spear (Brandyn), Averie Thompson, Gavin Thompson, Alix Thompson, Ryley Merson, Brynne Merson and Keely Merson; his great grandchildren, Phoenix, Rori, Reese and Everett; his brother Ross Thompson (Roberta) of Oakville, ON; his nephews, Jim Thompson, Rob Thompson (Keika) and Stephen Thompson; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kai Thompson and Kaden Thompson.
As expressions of sympathy memorial donations can be made to St-Vincent de Paul, Canadian Cancer Society, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
