She was predeceased by: her parents, Julie Smith and Clinton Smith; her granddaughter Katherine; her brothers, Howard, Bobby, Garry and Russell; and her siblings-in-law, Myrle McDonald (Hugh) and Duncan McRae (Alice).

She is survived by: her husband Dwayne Alexander McRae; her sons, Kevin, Bruce (Susan) and Brad (JoAnna); her grandchildren, Melissa (Chris Bingham), Adam, Mitchell, Angus, Kieran and Sadie; her siblings, Beverly Applejohn, Sandra Buchanan (late Art) and Brian Smith; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Smith, Linda Smith and Elva Robinson (late Herb). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
