She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Charles Michael Smelt; and her parents, Richard Knight and Olive Knight. She is survived by: her sons, Andrew, Graham (Suzanne), Richard (Karen) and Christopher (Barbara); her grandchildren, Thomas, Jeremy (Aisling), Harriet, Charles, Benjamin, Jessica, Holly, Matilda, Oliver and Miranda; her great grandchild Lochlan; and her sibling Robin Knight (Maggie).
