He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Mason and Emma Mason (Menard); and his siblings, Bernie Mason (Jan) and Wanda Mason. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Higgins; his children, Catherine Mason-Cameron and Cory Mason; his stepchildren, Shawn Banville (Lisa) and Andrew Banville (Sandy); and his siblings, Richard (Sheila), Morgan (Judy), Brian (Dawna), John Perry (Debbie) and David (Annie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
