He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicephore Poirier and Bertha Poirier; and his siblings, Vincent Poirier, Larry Poirier (late Ethne), Sylvia Ingram and Juliette Tanguay.
He is survived by: his spouse Tracey Wright; his sons, Nick Poirier, Jacob Poirier and Stephen Poirier; his siblings, Rose McLaughlin (Brian), Patrick Poirier (Jennifer), Marge Brooks (late Jim), Donna Dobbins (Dick), Michael Poirier and Linda Poirier; and his sister-in-law Gertie Poirier. He is also survived by his many nieces. nephews, extended family, former students and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be appreciated by the family.
