It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Edwin Laplante (Cornwall, Ontario), who passed away on August 23, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin LaPlante and Ruby LaPlante (Cobb). He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Hunt (Brendon), Robin Rankin (Paul) and Lynn Skirrow-Poeltl (Mike); his grandchildren, Murray, Jenny, Alex, Sam and Emily; and his former wife Elizabeth Stewart (Libby). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
In consideration of Bob's long tenure on the Cornwall Hospital Board of Trustees, the family would suggest that in lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Bob to the Cornwall Hospital Foundation, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
