He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Sullivan; his parents, Omer Brunet and Rachel Brunet (Bissonnette); and his brothers, Gerard, Emile and Jean-Claude.

He is survived by: his daughter Chantal Comtois; his granddaughter Joëlle; his girlfriend Dorothy "Cookie" Henault; his stepdaughter Diane; his stepgrandchildren, Jean-Marc, Alexandra and Eric; and his sister Therese. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
