Robert J. Major Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert J. Major (Cornwall, Ontario), who passed away on August 1, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Major and Florence Major; and his siblings, Claudette Tyo (late Clifford) and Denis Major (Adele). He is survived by: his spouse Carmen; his children, Michelle Chausse, Anne-Marie Finkeldey (Brian) and Jean Major (Kristine Hyde); his grandchildren, Mathieu Chausse (Andrea Secord), Eric Chausse (Alexandra Irwin), Alexandra Finkeldey (Jacob Bolduc), Lucas Finkeldey, Maddison Major, Nikolas Major and CJ Major; and his great grandchildren, Mia and Nico Chausse. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
