He was predeceased by: his former wife Marilyn Pentinga; and his parent Klaas Pentinga. He is survived by: his spouse Judy Pentinga; his children, Carolyn Taylor (Ricky), Barbara Smelt (Chris), Ruth Pentinga (Andrew Kellogg), James Mckay (Christina) and Andrew Mckay; his parent Antonia Pentinga; and his sister Elnora of Boer-Pentinga.
