He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Filion and Gloria Filion; and his siblings, Lucien, Jeanine, Raymond, Maurice, Claude and Pauline.
He is survived by: his wife Doreen Filion; his children, William Filion (Julie), Shawn Filion (Julie), Roch Filion (Wendy) and Billie-Jean Welsh (Daryl); his grandchildren, Kelsey (Corey), Adam (Sara), Joshua, Joel, Jordan (Kris), Evan (Amy), Micaela, Mathew and Brody; his great grandchildren, Hazel, Clara, Niio and Graysen; and his sister Lucille Desjardins (Gerry).
