He was predeceased by: his parents, George Martin and Thérese Martin (Sigouin); and his siblings, Raymond Martin (Kathy), Madeleine Toth (Leslie) and Gerald Sigouin (Phyllis).

He is survived by: his sons, Richard (Heather) of Guelph, ON and Daniel of Comox Valley, BC.; his grandchildren, Sam and Lillian; and his companion and traveling partner Valerie Foster. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Pierrette and the Pitre family, his friends, neighbours and post office co-workers.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
