He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Carreau and Henriette Carreau. He is survived by: his children, Priscilla Edith Carreau-Lachance (Jean Robert), Alain (Geneviève) and Yves (Yollaine); his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Lydia and Maélie; his great grandchildren, Lily, Johnathan and Timothy; his nephew Guy (late Normande); and his sister Lyette Pitre.
