He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Brownell and Pheobia Brownell; and his brothers, Graham Willard Brownell and Ronald Victor Brownell. He is survived by: his wife Becky Brownell; his sons, Ward Brownell (Cheryl) and Scott Brownell (Angela); his grandchild Darcie Brownell; and his siblings, Mildred Brownell (Millie) and Don Brownell (Som).
