She was predeceased by: her spouse Jean Guy Geneau; her parents, Charles Flegg and Bessie Flegg; and her siblings, Leigh (Myrtle), Sterling (Shirley), William (late Clara), Ray (late Mary), Albert, Wayne Flegg, Minnie Henderson (late Fred), Jean Larmour (late Alvy), Leila Helmer (late Harlen), Norma McMillan (late Keith), Grace Hess (late Carl), Doris Wylie (late Walter), Edna Casselman (late Bob) and Fern Thompson (late Bill).
She is survived by: her children, Anna Marie Quesnel (Gerry), Laura Lee Landriault (Roland), Mary Ellen Dicaire, Rick Wiseman (Tammy), Hope Katsanis (Emmanuel) and Charlie Wiseman. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, her 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Merla's honour to the Heart and Stroke foundation as well as Diabetes Canada.
