She was predeceased by: her husband William Gordon Alguire; her parents, Percy Johnston and Estella Johnston (Daye); her brother Douglas Johnston; and her nieces, Susan and Sharon.

She is survived by: her sister Ruth Rankin (Bill); and her nieces and nephews, Debra (Al), Shelley (Murray), Brenda (George), Beverly and Brian (Donna). She is also survived by grandnieces and grandnephews, and several great grandnephews and great grandnieces.
