He was predeceased by: his wife Lorraine Lalonde; his son Gerald; his parents, Télesphore Lalonde and Laura Lalonde; and his siblings, Richard, Fleurette Bisson, Rita Richard, Jeannette Plamondon and Lucille Lavoie.

He is survived by: his children, Gilbert (Patricia) of St. Sauveur Qc and Jocelyne Mayer (Michel) of Cornwall; and his grandchildren, Donald, Daniel, Céline, Clément, Elodie and Coralie.
