She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sheets and Emily Sheets; her siblings, Shirley Warner (Stuart), Betty Terriah (Ralph) and Bill Sheets (Vivian); and her brother-in-law Gordon Markell (Henriette).

She is survived by: her husband Earl Markell; her children, Dave Markell (Donna), Lorna Sigouin (Gerald) and Wray Markell (Tracy); her grandchildren, Austin, Shelby, Gavin, Phillip, Everett and Hope; and her in-laws, Sheila McKenzie (late Donald), Wendy Froats (late Derle), Donna Cottrell (late Bob), Larry Markell (Janet), Cindy Waldroff (Kevin) and Allen Markell. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Cornwall would be greatly appreciated by the family.
