He was predeceased by: his parents, Prosper Tessier and Pearl Tessier (Martel); and his siblings, Bernard Tessier (late Susan), Roger Tessier and Agnes Lavictoire (late Paul).

He is survived by: his significant other Tom Thompson; and his siblings, Marcel Tessier (Raymonde), Jean Tessier (Jovette), Theresa Belanger (late Armand) and Jacqueline Emard (late Claude). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
