He was predeceased by: his son Romeo Thauvette; his grandchildren, Lisa Geneau and Pierre Larocque; his siblings, Ernest Thauvette, Albert Thauvette, Noella Carriere, Florence Harkin and Irene Thauvette; and his parents, Raoul Thauvette and Bernadette Thauvette.
He is survived by: his spouse Leila Thauvette; his children, Irene Geneau (Rene) of Summerstown Station, Lauretta Martin (Robert) of Apple Hill, Edgar Thauvette (Linda), Leona Pilon (Glen), Jean Pilon (Andre), Teresa Jarvo (Chris), Maureeen Larocque (Ray Morin) of Cornwall and Joanne Fraser of Green Valley; and his siblings, Yvonne Valade of Cornwall and Mary Rose Faubert (Romeo) of Green Valley. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
