He was predeceased by: his parent Alderic; and his siblings, Philias Poirier (late Julie), Irene Riley (late Wilburn), Lorette Garlough (late Claude) and Verna Samson (late Ovila "Sam").
He is survived by: his wife Cecile Poirier; his children, Susanne Matthews (John) and Michele Smith (Ivan); his grandchildren, Gregory, Jason, Angela, Chantal and Christopher; and his siblings, Wilburn Poirier (late Jacqueline) and Claire Lavictoire (late Paul). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
