He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Lafave and Violet Lafave (Cardinal); and his siblings, Roger Lafave (Lorna) and Mary Lafave. He is survived by: his wife Claudette Lafave (Mayer); his children, Sherry-Lynn Karsch (Stefan) and Kevin Lafave (Rollanda); his grandchildren, Nikolaus Karsch, Christopher Karsch, Michael Karsch (Jessica Thompson) and Kyle Karsch; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Logan and Oliver; and his sister Shirley Larente (Eddy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions funeral arrangements are private.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
