He was predeceased by: his daughter Judy Seguin (Leo); his siblings, Walter Poirier (Joanne), Raymond Poirier (Marge) of Cornwall, Yvonne Lapierre (Gerard) of Cornwall and Elizabeth "Betty" Stang (late Kelvin) of Cornwall; and his parents, Armand Poirier and Victoria Poirier.

He is survived by: his wife Vivian Poirier; his children, Patsy Poirier (Claude) of South Glengarry and Ricky Poirier of Alberta; and his siblings, Artel Poirier (Joyce) of Williamstown, Ursula of Cornwall, Bernadette Stang (Maurice) of Cornwall and Wayne Poirier of Cornwall. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
