He was predeceased by: his wife Alma McDonald; his daughter Sharon McDonald; his grandchild Ryan Haley; his parents, William McDonald and Emily McDonald; and his siblings, Clarence McDonald (Anne), Earl McDonald and Evelyn Maloney (late Wilfred).
He is survived by: his children, Stephen McDonald (Valerie), Margaret Wheeler (Garry), Heather Stang (Steve) and Joanne Haley (Bob); his grandchildren, Sandy, Anthony (Ashley), Keshia (Shayne), Melissa (Mike), Michael (Alyson), Laura (Trevor), Sarah (Brandon), Emily (Kyle), Andrew, Shelby (Austin) and Derek (Tia); and his sisters, Marina Beaudette (late Emile), Doreen Bray (late Phillip), Hilda Shields (late Bernie) and Linda Diguer (Jack). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Wilson Funeral Home (822 Pitt St, Cornwall, ON K6J3S2). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church (17298 County Rd 18, St Andrews West, ON K0C2A0).
