He was predeceased by: his former wife Joanne (Ayotte); his parents, Mike Leaf and Mary Leaf; and his siblings, Kenneth Leaf and Hazel Herne.

He is survived by: his son Peter Joseph Leaf; and his siblings, Lawrence (Yvonne), Nelson, Lorettam Teddy (Denise), Leslie (Stacey) and Debbie Leaf-Lafleche. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews and many cousins.
