He is survived by: his wife Anna Huizinga; his children, Ralph (Monique), Richard (Tanya) and Terry (Donna); and his siblings, Nick Huizinga (Gerdie), Hielkje Veenstra (Joe), Sylvia Kaldeway (John) and Trudie Noort.
