He was predeceased by: his child Gay Howard Lanoue (Perry); his parents, Chester Howard and Elizabeth Howard (Ongo); his brother Wallace Howard (Diane); and his niece Brenda Brunet.

He is survived by: his wife Eileen Howard (Benoit); his daughters, Debbie Froats (Perry) and Wendy Morrow; his grandchildren, Casey Schofield (Evan), Courtney Spicer (Jason), Shane Froats (Zoé), Amanda Froats (Braedon), Ashley Morrow and Faith Morrow; his great grandchildren, Lily, Brydan, Aiden, Jaxson, Alexandra and Grayson; his siblings, Lloyd Nicholson, Estelle Howard (Damon) and Margaret Quenneville (Louis); and his siblings-in-law, Alice Cryderman (Harry) and Cecil Benoit (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
