She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon Etherington; her parents, Thomas Hartwell and Mary Ann Hartwell; and her siblings, Brendan Hartwell, Mary Szulak and Marie Malkowski.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Runions (David) and Jane Etherington of Victoria, BC.; her grandchildren, Rebecca, Sarah and Patrick; and her pet Kiwi. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, Memorial donations to the Heart Institute of Ottawa or to the Cornwall Community Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
