He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Hutt and Sarah Jean Hutt; and his siblings, Danny, Billy, Marlene, Helen, Shirley and Edna.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine I Hutt; his children, Rick Hutt (Pam) of Monkland and Ashley Hutt of Monkland; and his sister Linda Pidgeon (Ernest) of Montreal, QC.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
