He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burnie and Margaret Burnie. He is survived by: his wife Thelma Burnie; his children, Russell William (Kathy) and Penny Ann Burnie; his siblings, Gary and Dallas Lauzon (Rene "Zun"); and his grandchildren, Taylor, Aiden, Victoria, Dayan and Jamie.
