He was predeceased by: his wife Bridget Kastely; his parents, Istvan Kastely and Rozalia Kastely; and his siblings, Maria, Janos, Jozsef and Mihaly.

He is survived by: his children, Steve Kastely (Sylvie), Maria Renaud (Mike), Mike Kastely (Liane) and Margaret Kastely (Mark); his grandchildren, Melissa, Nick, Maddie and Kris; and his great grandchild Marina.
