She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Joe Schweitzer; her children, Linda Schweitzer of Ottawa and John Schweitzer (Jess) of New Zealand; her grandchildren, Katarina (Riley), Maximilian (Jen), Téah and Léonie; her sister Frieda; her son-in-law Peter; and her parents, Johan Fichtler and Marie Fichtler. She was also cherished by her nieces and her nephews.
