He was predeceased by: his child Shawn (Kristin); his brothers, Donald, Adrien, Allan and Irwin; and his parents, Ranald MacDonald and Marian MacDonald.

He is survived by: his wife Helen MacDonald; his son Jeff; his siblings, Gerald (Hazel), Gladys Booth (Ron) and Edna (late Ray Chevrier); his granddaughter Jessica (Adam); and his great grandchild Henry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre or St. Andrew's Restoration Fund would be appreciated by the family.
