He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Houde and Flore Houde; and his siblings, Armand Houde, O'Nil Houde, Eddie Houde, Jean-Paul Houde, Yvon Houde and Gertrude Pelletier (Jean-Guy).

He is survived by: his wife Diane Houde; his sons, Joel Houde (Amanda Gaudet) of Stittsville and Marc Houde (Susan Bright) of Finch; his grandchildren, Daniel, Chanelle Houde, Michel, Emilie Houde, Colin, Micheil and Caitlyn Bright; his great grandchildren, Raphael and Isla; and his siblings, Denis Houde (Rollande), Jean-Roch Houde, Bernard Houde (Jacqueline), Gaetan Houde (Florance), Solange Cadieux (Michel) and Diane Sauve (Paul).
