He was predeceased by: his daughter Linda McDonell (late Steve); his parents, Aldea Thibeault and George Thibeault; and his siblings, Rolland Thibeault (Diane), Alma Smith and Rejeanne Therrien.

He is survived by: his wife Ida Thibeault; his daughters, Lorraine Casselman (Brian) of Cornwall and Sharron Thibeault (Norah Brown) of Casselman; his grandchildren, Karrah Bailey (Aaron) of Ottawa, Caitlin Thibeault of Ottawa and Callum McDonell of Ottawa; his great grandchild Rosemary Bailey of Ottawa; and his siblings, Yoland Menard of Cornwall, Aurore Marleau of Cornwall and Georgette Thibeault of Embrum. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
