LAPERLE, Gerald Lloyd – peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Tuesday December 19, 2023 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Cecile (née Cadieux) Laperle. Dear father of Joan MacDonald of Long Sault, Nancy Malette (Jay) and Brian Cummings both of Cornwall. Proud grandfather of Megan and Natasha MacDonald, Patrick, Scott and Ashley. Great grandfather of Ben, Fox and Daxton. Loving brother of Joyce Ladouceur (Roger) of Summerstown and Al Laperle of Cornwall. Gerald was loved by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Alfred Laperle, Louise (née Laker) Laperle, and his two sisters Shirley Paquin and Marlene Renaud. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes West Branch 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482). A gathering to Celebrate Gerald's life will be held at a later date. As expression of sympathy donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
