He was predeceased by: his parents, Numa Haineault and Yvonne Haineault; and his siblings, Johnny and Jeanne D'Arc Lapensée. He is survived by: his spouse Beverley Haineault (O'Neil); his sons, Roger, Mike (Lucie Tedesco) and Richard (Kim Graveley); his grandchildren, Jennifer Cooper, Robert Haineault and Justin Haineault; his great grandchild Quinn Cooper; and his siblings, Guy and Jacqueline Sheney.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Cornwall Community Hospital (Palliative Care Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
