He was predeceased by: his parents, Rowland and Jean; his stepmother Marjorie; his brother Robert; and his son Richard.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Petersen; his stepdaughter Krista Petersen (Cornwall); his children, Deborah Davies (Ottawa) and Trevor Davies (Pearl); his siblings, Joan (Keith) and Cholach (BC); and his grandchildren, Lucas Brown (Cornwall), Ashley, Holly Davies Hanson (Ottawa), Brock and Travis Davies.
