He was predeceased by: his spouse Anne Ross; his parent Donald Ross; his son Garry; his grandchildren, Chad and Jeff; and his siblings, Donnie Ross (Erma), Donalda Hollister (late Donald), Lillian Moss (late John) and Grace Bowman (late Paul).

He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Laverty (late Dennis), Rickey (Bonnie), David (Gloria), Patricia Kaddie (Mark), Dale (Carole), Steven (Donna), Nancy Prevost, Howard, Timothy (Julie), Marion Kraeker (Rick) and Andrew (Fid); his parent Erma Ross; and his sibling Howard Ross (June). He is also survived by many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
